One of Louisiana’s most unusual and colorful gatherings takes places this Saturday, May 10, at 11 a.m. when hundreds of boats of all types anchor on the Lake Maurepas ‘sandbar’ for the 2nd Annual Jonathan Arrington Memorial Party - Jammin’ in Lake Maurepas.
This free jam features a large stage set up on barges over a shallow, submerged sandbar in the lake in the southwest quadrant, north of Blind River (GPS coordinates: N30 14.311 W90 34.529). Live music will be provided by the bands One Nite Only and Hip Boot Joe with special guests Trent Bourgeois, Kenny Cornett and Kane Glaze.
