The Cangelosi Dance Project Company, led by artistic director Kris Cangelosi, will present a 40-minute choreographic work Glass Ceiling at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, on Baton Rouge Little Theatre’s Second Stage, 7155 Florida Blvd.
Cangelosi’s work Glass Ceiling was created in Atlanta, Ga., in 1996 and performed in several venues in Atlanta, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York City and Chicago.
The work deals with women moving forward into man’s corporate world and defines all the levels of female survival. There are nine sections of the work: The Wall, The Competition, The Fight, The Body, The Mind, The Spirit, The Race, The Glass and The Ceiling.
Cangelosi will open the program by introducing the work, followed by the professional company performance with a follow-up after the show.
There will be refreshments at the show and door prizes for the audience members.
Tickets are $10. The show is advised for ages 14 and older.
