The LSU School of Music has several events planned this week.
Linda Pereksta will perform a guest flute recital at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at St. Albans Chapel, 618 LSU Place. The recital is free.
The LSU Chamber Singers will perform a concert at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Wesley Foundation Chapel, 333 East Chimes St. Cali McQueen is the conductor. The concert is free.
The Pelican Chamber Series will take place at 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, in Room 115 at the LSU School of Music on Dalrymple Drive on campus. The performance is free.

Art on the Avenue
The Art on the Avenue artwalk will take place 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, along Main Street in Donaldsonville.
Art on the Avenue is a quarterly event in the state’s second largest historic district.
Artists Alvin Batiste, Terry Farrell and Steve Schneider will be in attendance along with sponsored artists up and down Main Street at participating businesses. The Grapevine and the Art Bank are hosting large bodies of work by Nicholls State University students and other local artists.
Arsenic tickets on sale
Tickets are on sale for Baton Rouge Little Theater’s production of Joseph Kesselring’s Arsenic and Old Lace, set Thursdays through Sundays, Nov. 6-22, on the theater’s main stage, 7155 Florida Blvd.
Tickets are $22.
