There’s still time to register for Baton Rouge Little Theater’s summer camps and workshops.
The first camp, Musical Production, will be Monday, June 8, through Friday, June 19. The camp is for students in the sixth through 12th grades.
Participants will learn about musical theater by rehearsing and performing in a musical. Everyone will have the chance to participate as the campers become a “theater company.” Performances will be at the conclusion of the second week.
Registration is $229.
Creative Dramatics for students in the first through fifth grades will be Monday, June 22, through Friday, July 3. Participants will explore the dramatic process through theater games, exercises, songs and scenes, with a performance at the end of the second week.
Registration is $199 or $179 if received by June 15.
High School Acting Workshop for students in the ninth through 12th grades will be Monday-Friday, July 6-10. This workshop for high school students will focus on enhancing acting skills in participants through use of monologues, improvisations, and theater exercises. The workshop provides participants a chance to perform more concentrated work than traditional one or two-hour classes.
Registration is $119 or $99 if received by June 29.
Play Production for students in the sixth through 12th grades will be Monday, July 13, through Friday, July 24. Participants will audition for, rehearse and perform a play. Campers will have the opportunity to participate in all phases of production. Performances will be at the conclusion of the second week.
Registration is $199 or $179 if received by July 6.
All camps and workshops will take place at the theater, 7155 Florida Blvd. Camp hours are 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. An after-hours class will be offered 3:30-4:40 p.m. for $39.

'King and I' tickets on sale
Also at Baton Rouge Little Theater, 7155 Florida Blvd., tickets are on sale for its summer musical production of The King and I, which opens at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 10. The production will run Thursdays through Sundays until Aug. 2.
