Artists visit LASM to discuss ‘celestial matters’

Visitors can gaze upon the stars and listen to a lively discussion about art and astronomy next week at Louisiana Art & Science Museum.

Celestial Matters: A Talk with the Artists of Starry Messenger takes place Thursday, Oct. 22, 5-8 p.m., and brings together the artists whose work is featured in the museum’s current  display, which illustrates Galileo’s vision in 21st century art.

See the art, which is housed in several of the museum’s galleries, from 5 to 6 p.m., and join the panel discussion afterward. A reception with complimentary wine takes place after the lecture.

 Admission is $5 for LASM members, $10 for nonmembers.
