Teens 'speak truth' for worthy cause
Get your tickets now for this weekend's Speak Truth to Power, a collection of testimonies from human rights activists. The play will be performed by a group of local teens called H2O (Helping Hydrate Others). H2O is trying to raise $50,000 to build a well in Kenya, where many people have no access to clean water. This weekend's play is the group's largest fundraiser, and on opening night, will also include a silent auction.
The show will be performed at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday, June 26-27, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Church of the Highlands, 17240 Perkins Road. Admission for the June 26 performance is $15 in advance and $20 at the door; the June 27 show, $8 in advance and $10 at the door; and June 28, $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The group also is selling T-shirts at $20 each as part of the fundraiser.
