Cartoonist seminar
Study cartooning with a professional cartoonist. A free workshop led by Erik Van Buren will take place Saturday, June 20, 10 a.m.-3 p.m., at Bluebonnet Library. Speak Truth to Power tickets now on sale
Get your tickets now to Speak Truth to Power, a play by Ariel Dorfman that will be presented by a group of local teens called H2O (Helping Hydrate Others). The group is trying to raise money to provide clean water for impoverished residents in Kenya. Pride Fest weekend
The 3rd annual Baton Rouge Pride Fest will be held June 19-21 in Baton Rouge. The weekend will include a picnic and resource fair at Magnolia Mound Plantation; a performance by the New Orleans Gay men’s Chorus at Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge, “drag” bingo, a pride afternoon at the movies, and more.
