Big Daddy Blue & The Wee Hours plays rockin’ rhythm & blues and Memphis soul, as well as rock, rockabilly classics, and original music. The original lineup of the Wee Hours originated in 2004 in Lafayette, and was that city’s representative to the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN.

History:
After various personnel changes, the group is now led by “Big Daddy” Michael Blue on guitar and vocals, who has been performing professionally for twenty years in the Southeastern states, as well as a few years in Michigan. On Lead Guitar is Mike Smith, a well-known singer and lead guitarist in the Lafayette area. On drums is Carroll Thibodeaux from Crowley, Louisiana, who played for 10 years for Chicago Al and the Backburners. Playing harmonica and contributing background vocals is Mark Savarino, originally from Port Arthur, Texas, now residing in Lafayette. Alternating on bass guitar is Pete Latino, a well known session player from Lafayette and Kevin Shearin, from Brooklyn, New York, who played for a number of years with File’.
