Hysterically Hollywood

They have taken comical jabs at the Bible, Shakespeare, history … you name it. Now, they are mocking Hollywood in a big way — with props, puns, one-liners, jokes and other assorted silliness. How about a sketch on When Dirty Harry Met Sally?

That’s the kind of clever comedy that takes shape in the minds of The Reduced Shakespeare Company cast. That would be Dominic Conti, Michael Faulkner, Reed Martin and Austin Tichenor, and they have designed a show called Completely Hollywood in which they poke fun at Tinseltown with wild abandon.

The show takes place on Friday, April 11, 8 p.m., at the Union Theater in the LSU Student Union Building.

“Their cutting-edge fast-paced comedy is one of the funniest shows ever to hit Baton Rouge, as anyone who saw them take on Shakespeare here will attest,” said Julie Ruckstuhl, marketing director of the LSU Student Union.

“When you leave, you’ll feel relieved that your sides are no longer hurting from laughing,” she added.

Hmm. Sounds like it might be funny …

Tickets range from $10-$15 for students, $20-$30 for LSU Union members/faculty/staff, and $25-$35 for the public.

To purchase tickets, call (225) 578-5128 or go to www.uniontheater.lsu.edu
