Something is missing at stadium
Gary Couvillion says granddaughter Grace Ann, 4, gets a kick out of going to the LSU campus before a home football game in her Tiger cheerleader outfit.
She enjoys seeing all the fans greeting each other, and cooking, the band marching in, the Golden Girls, Mike, and all the pageantry before the game.
She has so much fun that her dad thought she might like to actually attend a game in Tiger Stadium.
So he took her to a game.
As they entered the stadium and observed the throngs of fans filling up the stands, Grace Ann (whose previous experience with large crowds and a carnival atmosphere had been at Disney World) had a question for her dad:
“Where are the rides?”
Play nice, people
A reader named John says at every LSU football game he’s attended this season, “I have seen LSU fans embarrass the school and our state.
“At Washington I saw the police haul away two non- student-age fans for stealing Husky seat covers.
“In Georgia some fans, again non-students, threw their trash, including water bottles, off the upper deck onto Georgia fans below.
“At the Florida game non-student fans called for illegal hits on a Florida player.
“At all games some of our fans were abusive to opposing teams beyond the usual ‘Tiger Baiting.’
