Annabelle Armstrong says, “While driving my granddaughters Rachel and Molly to their home after school, we passed the beautiful new retirement home for nuns, located behind the Catholic Life Center.
“Since the residents of Hundred Oaks were involved with architect Skipper Post in the planning and met with the nuns, I knew about its many features.
“I pointed out the circular drive in front and the large parking area in the back.
“When Rachel saw the many cars, she asked ‘Do they drive?’
“I said, ‘Oh yes, and they have their own apartments and separate entrances, a large dining hall, a meeting room and a chapel.’
“ ‘Wow!’ said Rachel, ‘I want to be a retired nun.’ ”

“We had no Zamboni machine to clean up after those classes!”
