SCOTT RABALAIS

Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Scott Rabalais always had a journalistic skepticism for the old phrase, "It never rains in Tiger Stadium." That's because the first sporting event he remembers attending, a 1972 game at Tiger Stadium, it rained. Scott has covered sports for The Advocate since 1991, and before that for the State-Times starting in 1989. Work has taken him from coast to coast, covering LSU bowl games, college basketball, the Super Bowl, The Masters and the Daytona 500. The single most dramatic moment? Covering Warren Morris' home run to win the 1996 College World Series. Scott is married and has three children.
