Pat Shingleton for Oct. 18, 2009
As we enjoy the fall weather, here’s a peek at the upcoming winter. Joe Bastardi is AccuWeather’s Chief Meteorologist and Expert Long Range Forecaster. I have the same title here at WBRZ and meteorologist Dave Nussbaum verifies that Joe never misses predictions for weather or Penn State’s football season. Joe accurately predicted two years ago that Joe Paterno would leave a game due to gastric complications. Joe also believes that the fading El Niño will send stormy and cold weather our way and to the eastern U.S. Areas hardest hit this winter will be New England through the Carolinas with above normal snowfall. Washington, D.C., can also expect more snow after two years of relatively calm winter weather. Fastcast: Clear, dry.
