We took the Weather Road Show to Convent on Tuesday. The show focuses on the importance of protecting life and property during severe weather. Dave Nussbaum and I also provided information to the folks at Motiva concerning the upcoming hurricane season. With Hurricane Season 2008 beginning in 25 days, we’re presenting our hurricane special, “Weathering the Storm” at 7 p.m. May 27 on WBRZ Channel 2. The Advocate will provide a special section, “Before the Storm,” on June 1. I came away from the Motiva presentation with a greater appreciation of preparations for a refinery should a hurricane approach. Thanks to John Cancienne and the staff and management for the invitation.
