Joe Gyan Jr. is a Baton Rouge native, a graduate of Broadmoor High School (1980) and of LSU (1984) and has been The Advocate's New Orleans Bureau chief since 1988. He previously was a reporter for the Houma Daily Courier and United Press International in New Orleans. Joe’s news coverage area includes New Orleans and the surrounding parishes of Jefferson, St. Bernard and Plaquemines.
