Robin Fambrough has covered high school sports for The Advocate for more than 15 years.
A graduate of Western Kentucky University and a native of Louisville, Ky., she has also worked for two other newspapers in Louisiana as well as newspapers in Kentucky and Florida.
Fambrough is a past-president of the Louisiana Sports Writers Association and continues to actively serve that organization. She started her career as a sportswriter in 1979.
It’s impossible to count the number of trick plays and huge comebacks staged by high school football teams across the state.
With just three weeks left in the football season, a number of district titles and prospective playoff spots are still up for grabs.
