Freda Yarbrough says NASA has announced that the International Space Station will be visible in the Baton Rouge area as it orbits 220 miles above earth.
“Many locations will have unusually long sighting opportunities of as much as five minutes, weather permitting, as the station flies almost directly overhead,” says NASA.

“This is cool,” says Freda. (The sightings listed at the NASA Web site are for July 6-11.)
