Pedestrian killed on Florida Blvd.
A 49-year-old Baton Rouge woman was killed Wednesday when she was hit by a truck while trying to cross Florida Boulevard, said Capt. Carl Kelley, a police spokesman.
Officers were called to the 4100 block of Florida Boulevard at 10:50 p.m. to find Angela Broom Amorosa, 244 W. Chimes St., in critical condition, Kelley said.
Amorosa was taken to Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City where she later died.
The man driving the truck, Benjamin Ellis, 20, 15 Pelican Drive, Angola, was released after being questioned, said Cpl. L’Jean McKneely, a police spokesman.
